Many times in the word God used his prophets to act out or demonstrate what He wanted to do with His people. They were no longer listening to the spoken word. So God would use prophetic acts to show what was in His mind for the people.

God is visual. Mime is an art form which relies on the body for its means of communication. The body speaks with gestures that communicates a thought. Sometimes we don't hear it, but we see it!!! We use mime as a way of ministering to many who may just need to see it to get what God is saying. I have spoken to you by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions for you, and have appealed to you through parables acted out by the prophets. Hosea 12:10 (Amplified)
